John Henry Folk Tale
Kids Who Love Government
Many people forget about the reason why we get together to stuff our faces full of turkey and share our day with close family and friends. Here is a webquest full of activities to check out!
Watch this video to take a virtual field trip to a Wampanoag Village. I hope you remember to take notes or sketch pictures so you can include
them in your picture storyboard.
Read or listen (at the very bottom of the page you can listen to the story, look for the button in the right corner) to a letter from a little girl who lived in the village. This story gives you a chance to really visualize what it is like to live in 1621.
Now you are ready to complete your story board of a day in the life of a Wampanoag child. Be sure to create your story with lots of details you learned from the activities above.
