Family History Webquest

Introduction

Do you know who your ancestors were? 
Do you know where they came from? 
Why did they come to America? 
What do you have in common with your current relatives?


This project will take you through the process of answering all the questions you have every wondered about who you are. Because if it weren't for your ancestors; grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great-grandparents, you wouldn't be here today! Let's explore each and every one of your family trees and the past to find out who you really are today!

Task

You will all create a "Timeline of my Life," then you can choose one of the tasks below.


Timeline of My Life
Create a timeline of about 8-10events from your life. Include the date (or a rough estimate), pictures (drawn or photographs), and a brief  description of the event.

My Family Tree
Use the guide to identify members on
your family tree. Then, construct a
family tree using construction paper,
poster board, or whatever you wish!

Oral History Project
Choose someone from your family
who has moved at some point in their
life. Interview that person about
what it was like to move and write a
short biography.
